  • Had the roast chicken rice in Penang a few days ago and with the flavourful chilli sauce (not any old chilli sauce) – amazing.

    Suki Gill 21/10/2022 am11:08
  • You should tried the real version of Malaysian chicken rice recipe with fried soy sauce marinated chicken, chilli sauce & thick soy sauce together with chicken soup. That's what we always eat here in Malaysia. Never eat your version before but your scallion paste looks good too. Will try it TQ ❤

    lily hana 21/10/2022 am11:08
  • The dish looks amazing and relatively quick to prepare.
Also, interesting to see the versatility of an instant pot. Have you tried or know if it's possible for deep frying?

    The GOAT 21/10/2022 am11:08
  • Yes, Flo, English cucumbers is what we call it in the States.

    tiki6494 21/10/2022 am11:08
  • THE MORTAR IS THE VESSEL IN WHICH YOU PLACE YOUR INGREDIENTS TO GRIND.
THE PESTLE IS THE INSTRUMENT YOU USE TO CRUSH YOUR SPICES, ETC
AND IT'S WORTH THE INVESTMENT TO HAVE KITCHEN SHEARS TO USE TO TRIM CHICKENS AND OTHER MEATS.

I LOVE YOUR RECIPES; THEY ARE DELICIOUS…AND THE TWO OF YOU ARE HILARIOUS !!
YOU HUSBAND SHOULD BE DOING VOOICEOVERS FOR COMMERCIALS, NARRATION, ETC. HE HAS A BEAUTIFULLY SOOTHING VOICE.

    Valerie Neal 21/10/2022 am11:08
  • As always, I still find it educational & enjoyable watching you cook 🎶

    Jayden_the_bull Nguyen 21/10/2022 am11:08
  • Hi junior from south africa love the recipes

    Clifford Ho 21/10/2022 am11:08
  • Apparently mortar is the bowl and pestle is the tool that you’re using to grind everything. I was trying to think through that the whole time you guys were cooking made it hard to concentrate on what you were doing although, I will go back and watch it again.

    Linda 21/10/2022 am11:08
  • The mortar is the bowl. The original firearm was a very similar bowl. The pestle, from an Italian word meaning "to pound" — "pesto" is a "pounded" sauce.

    MegaFortinbras 21/10/2022 am11:08
  • Chicken recipe so delicious recipes your recipes I will be try your all video so good

  • Yummy Delicious Darling..⚘🎚

    Cheryl Roumillat 21/10/2022 am11:08
  • I could be wrong, I am often wrong, but I think the mortar is the bowl and the pestle is the pounder. Mahalo for your educational videos!

    James Lee 21/10/2022 am11:08
  • Yummy. I'm gonna try ur version later. Really love chicken rice ❤️

    China Tse 21/10/2022 am11:08
  • You need a knife 🔪 to cut your chicken 🍗. It’s difficult to cut it with a spoon 🥄!

    Mark Shen 21/10/2022 am11:08
  • Your ginger sauce chicken looks really yummy 😋

    Mark Shen 21/10/2022 am11:08
  • You don’t like spicy foods ? Chinese people love hot and spicy foods 😋

    Mark Shen 21/10/2022 am11:08
  • Hey, Flo. Does your husband cook ? If he does, maybe you should let him do the cooking and you can do the video for him. Or on the other hand, both of you should set up the video camera on a tripod and show us both of you preparing food for viewers 🤔

    Mark Shen 21/10/2022 am11:08
  • Yummy recipe. 👍

    Gigi Gardiner 21/10/2022 am11:08
  • Thank you 🙏 for this recipe. It’s great for a weekday dinner. Quick and it looks delicious. I’m going to try it tonight 😁. My husband is Chinese and all of the ingredients used in this recipe are used in the Cantonese style food so I can’t wait. Thank you again. God bless.

  • Love new ways to make roasted chicken. Thank you!

    T-square 21/10/2022 am11:08
  • Heerlijk en zo eenvoudig top hoor👏👏👍👍

    Rob Tome 21/10/2022 am11:08
  • Stainless steel destroys the enzymes from the condiments, the mortar & pestle method preserves it, for those who care about those. My mom used to joke your sweat when it falls to the mortar improves the flavor, lol…

    Mary Be Timbol 21/10/2022 am11:08
  • I made the chicken only, served over white rice plus steam broccoli. Substituted shallots with yellow onion using what was on hand. Grated garlic, ginger, onion instead of pestle (didn't have) and stuffed them in chicken. Added your sauce recipe and let the chicken marinate over night. Cooked in the oven today. It turned out super tasty! Thanks for the video!

    Lisa Tam 21/10/2022 am11:08
  • Mortar is the bowl, and, the “t” in “pestle” is silent.

    99zanne 21/10/2022 am11:08
  • could you have grated the shallot instead?

    Morgan Campbell 21/10/2022 am11:08
  • Excellent

    Jason Big 21/10/2022 am11:08
  • You just made this a must try by putting in the airfryer!! I can't wait 😋

  • I pray you and your family have a blessed day.

    Shaun 21/10/2022 am11:08
  • There’s an old saying that is easy to remember….the pestle is NOT the vessel 😂So it’s the pounding tool ❤🇦🇺

    MsMitchl 21/10/2022 am11:08
  • I love that ginger and scallion sauce. Can even eat it with rice without the chicken. 😅

    syc008 21/10/2022 am11:08
